H.C.V.C Display Day at Sandown 2013 - Kenworths to Yorkshire Steam Truck

The Historic Commercial Vehicle Club (HCVC)  held their Display Day at Sandown Racecource on Sunday, November 24 2013. Here are some of the trucks - in this post we will start with the Kenworths and continue through the alphabet to a Yorkshire Steam truck. If you want to see Atkinsons to Commers, click here. If you want to see Diamond Ts to Internationals, then click here. The weather was a bit overcast and rainy, so some of the photos are a bit ordinary.

Kenworths

This belongs to Vyn Harris - he's President of the Trafalgar Truck Restorers Club

Steve Humphrey's Leyland

Jeff Johnson on a Lister Auto Truck.  It has been recently restored by Graeme Johnston. It was most likely made in 1965 and has a one ton maximum load. In his youth, Graeme had worked with his dad at the old Queen Victoria Market and had seen these Listers in operation.

Eric Shingle's Land Rover - It's not a truck I know, but he is in the Trafalgar Truck Restorers Club with us, so that's why he's in my blog.

Colin Brown's Mack

Kevin Sims' Mack

This is Stan Hamilton's 1946 Maple Leaf - it was on the cover of Issue 20 of Vintage Trucks and Commercials magazine. www.vtcmagazine.com.au

A duo of old three wheeler Mazdas.

These are our trucks all loaded up on the way home - naturally the sun was shining then!

There weren't many Whites at the show -this is the only photograph I have.
